THIS SUNDAY: Matthew 7:13-23 Click for the full passage.
In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives the following three warnings:
False Ways
False Prophets
False Faith
We will spend the next 2-3 weeks looking at the above, while also looking at the truth of each three areas.
Our focus this week will begin with false ways (Mt 7:13-14), with the possibility of getting into false prophets (Mt 7:15-20) as time permits.
Additional Passages to Read
Luke 13:24-30
Psalm 16
Deuteronomy 13:1-3
Consider (Meditate) on the following as your read and pray:
Why would God's way be hard and narrow? Wouldn't he want his path to be easy?
Why would there be many that follow the way that leads to destruction?
Does the Bible teach that the kingdom of God will be filled with many or few?
Considering what Jesus has been teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, what makes Jesus' way to life hard and narrow?
