THIS SUNDAY- Hebrews 12:18-29
Lord willing, we will be finishing up chapter 12 this coming Lord's Day.
At the beginning of this section, we see a great comparison of two mountains, and these two mountains represent, the law and the gospel, the covenant mediated by Moses and the covenant mediated by Christ.
CONSIDER/MEDITATE
As you read through this section, look for the distinctiveness of each mountain. Next, look for the imperatives (commands) in the passage. What are they telling us to do, and how are they connected to the description of the mountains.
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. - Hebrews 12:28-29
