THIS SUNDAY
Hebrews 10:1-22 - The Will, the Offering, and the Witness - Part III
This week, we will be looking at the "witness" of the Holy Spirit, and how the witness and work of the Holy Spirit complete the triune work of God in giving confidence and assurance to Christians as they draw near to God through sanctification.
And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us... Hebrews 10:15

What role does the Spirit play in sanctification?
(REMINDER) THEMES OF HEBREWS
Christ is better. We will see that Christ is better than angels, Moses, and Israel. He is the better high priest, sacrifice, mediator, and more. This theme will be a major part of Sunday morning sermons, focusing on the superiority of Jesus Christ.
Continuity of the Old and New Testaments. The New Testament is not a redo of the Old but a continuation of the Old. You will see many references to Old Testament passages throughout the book of Hebrews. Often, these references will help you better understand Jesus, the Gospel, and the New Covenant.
Warning passages What is the warning? Don't miss Jesus! Pay attention to His message! Do not neglect Him! Do not be deceived by sin! Hold fast! Strive to enter His rest! Do not grow weary, and many more. The warnings are great because Christ is superior, the Son of God, the only way into the House of God.

Hymn of the Month
BE IN PRAYER
that our church and the churches around us will preach Christ, exalt God, and not make Christianity man-centered.
for the sanctification of the saints of OBC. That we are being cleansed of all unrighteousness and being made more like Christ.
As our men and women continue to gather, pray that both will be honest in fellowship about struggles, hidden sin, and temptations. Give thanks to the Lord for your brothers and sister who care about your soul.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
