SEEKING TO SET FORTH CHRIST
We are a church in Byron, Arkansas seeking to set forth Christ at church, home, and in our communities. We are committed to the truth of the Gospel as found in the scriptures and living it out to the glory of God.

WORSHIP
We believe our worship is to be shaped by the Word of God. We seek to make it central in our preaching, praying, singing, and fellowship.
EXPOSITORY
PREACHING
In an attempt to preach "the whole counsel of God" we preach through books of the Bible, verse by verse. The pastor labors to understand the point of the Bible passage in order to deliver it to the congregation through the sermon for the sake of equipping and edifying the church.
CONGREGATIONAL
SINGING
Being commanded in scripture to sing to the Lord and one another, we are devoted to singing hymns that are rich in theology, exalts Christ, and reminds us of the gospel. Our desire is to guard against a performance-type environment, promote participation, and keep the focus on the content of the song
SCRIPTURE READING
& PRAYER
We desire to devote ourselves to the "public reading of scripture" and congregational prayer. Therefore, our gatherings are saturated with the reading of the Bible and multiple times set aside for prayer.
A CHRIST-CENTERED CHURCH
FOR THE FAMILY
At OBC, we seek to set forth Christ at church and at home. Therefore, we believe it is essential for families to worship together at home and at church. We encourage families to remain together during the worship gathering.
-
We do provide a nursery/cry room for families with little ones, but we encourage even the youngest of children to remain with parents in worship.

-
We are thankful for our children, and their presence in our gatherings is not a distraction but a blessing as we desire to teach them how to worship through singing, listening, and prayer.
